Helping you develop the strength to fulfill your potential.
Kajoor (Kah-jore) is a company with one goal in mind: help people develop the strength to fulfill their potential. A person can find this source of strength in different areas of life. We are not here to tell you where you will find it, but to help guide you in directions that many people often do. Holocaust survivor and psychologist Viktor Frankl said,
“Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather he must recognize that it is he who is asked.”
This sense of meaning and source of great strength is not something you should expect to find on accident, but as the result of an intentional search down paths that provide it.
We are HUGE advocates for proper and professional mental health treatment and recognize that even though our programs have the resources to support individuals seeking care, it is not a substitute for treatment. However, the depth of difference a sense of purpose can play in a person’s life and recovery should not be easily dismissed.
Living your life intentionally is not about the circumstances of your life, but about the way you seek to experience them. Neither our company nor our products can directly change your circumstances, but they can help you develop the strength to shape your experience of them.
What We Do
From 2018 to 2020, I had the distinct pleasure of working closely with the Marshallese people. Every day I spent with them I learned more about myself, kindness, love, and strength. Learning their language provided a new context to common English words - one of which was the word Kajoor.
The Marshallese to English Dictionary defines it with the words “strong, force, power, might” with additional use in the Marshallese translation of the Bible in place of words like resilience and strive.
Thus, Kajoor became the obvious name for the company with The Program we offer being designed to help develop strength and resilience in those who embrace it. Something you’ll find specifically in our page of Merchandise is the word Kōkajoor (Kuh-kah-jore). Though very similar to Kajoor, the “Kō-” prefix changes the word from strong to the action “to make strong”.
No matter where we are in our journey to a more fulfilled self, there is much for us to learn. While I think it is fair to describe ourselves as both strong and resilient, I much prefer the dynamic sense of becoming strong and growing resilient. Kajoor exists to help you find and develop the strength that you need.
